Electro Mechanical

A leading distributor of packaging systems and equipment for the food processing and industrial packaging sectors has an immediate opening for a Service Technician with strong technical skills. This position may also appeal to an engineer with strong electro mechanical skills.

 

Responsibilities/Duties include:

  • Providing engineering and technical repair services
  • Participate in the warranty and preventive maintenance service calls
  • Administrative functions include timely execution of service reports, parts inventory, equipment rental agreements and expense reports
  • Ability to detect and repair most electro-mechanical problems quickly
  • Have a positive attitude and are eager to learn
  • Have a strong commitment to your own professional development.
  • Have a strong customer service orientation and commitment.
  • Always driven to find a more efficient way to do things.
  • Work well with minimum supervision.
  • Able to interact with a diverse customer base
  • Are very well organized
  • Good at establishing and maintaining priorities

Skills, experience and education required:

  • Electro-Mechanical degree, diploma or recognized designation
  • 1 to 2 years' experience is an asset but not a must
  • Excellent mechanical drawing/electrical schematic interpretation skills
  • Superior diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills
  • Proficient on latest software or adept at getting up to speed
  • Some PLC programming experience a definite asset

Salary & Benefits:

  • $25.00-$28.00/hr.
