As you are aware, Direct Staffing Solutions Inc has a pre-developed Health and Safety Program that all DSS Inc Assignment employees complete prior to being sent out to work at our Client’s sites.
A "New Mandatory", Health and Safety Awareness Program, has been implemented and must be adhered to by July 1, 2014. The program was developed by the Ministry of Labour (MOL) and requires everyone who is defined as a “Worker under the Occupational Health and Safety ACT (OHSA) MUST Complete a Basic Health and Safety Awareness Training Program. There is also specific mandatory training for Supervisors that is also required to be completed.


Mandatory Requirements:

There is NO COST for the Health and Safety Awareness Training which can be completed on line through the Ministry of Labour website which takes approximately 1 hour to complete. The training is available in multiple languages.  DSS Inc Assignment Employees who do not have computer access can complete Safety Awareness Training in our office.

All Assignment Employees that are currently working on assignments through DSS INC and ALL Assignment Employees that are currently on the available list MUST COMPLETE the Health and Safety Awareness Training and provide to DSS INC a copy of Proof of Completionof the completed training by July 1, 2014.

How to provide Proof of Training to DSS INC:
Once you complete the on-line training, save a copy of the Pdf file and print (2) two copies.
One copy for your own personal file and one copy to provide to DSS INC by:

Failure to complete the Health and Safety Awareness Training:

Safety is our first priority, it should be yours. Failure to complete the training will result in not being assigned to your current assignment and any future positions. Therefore it is mandatory that you take time to complete the training by July 1 2014. NO EXCEPTIONS.
